Default 1952 Red Man PSA 8.5

I am fairly new to graded cards and recently got my 52 Red Man Ted Williams back as an 8.5. It appears this ties for the highest grade ever registered as there is one other 8.5. If I did want to sell what is the best way? Private sale vs Auction House? There is so much knowledge on this board please tell me....what would you do?

P.S. Sorry no pic but I can never seem to get my pics to upload to this site

That seems like a good card to consign to one of the major AHs or ebay sellers.

That's a $10,000+ card. Call REA.

Yea...I didn't mean REA was an open and shut deal. IMO they are the best to deal with, but for a card of that magnitude, you should make sure you pay no seller's premium. If they are trying to charge you a seller's fee, then shop around.

The PSA 8 sold for $4,952 at Memory lane Saturday, so I'm not sure an 8.5 is a
$10,000+ card... but maybe it is!

So what was going on in the early 2000s when a PSA 8 went for 13k and 15k?
