A 1909 Ramly Bobby Wallace a PSA 8 version Books for $5500
This card is currently selling for $67.00. The grading company is ASA are they reputable. Doeas this price seen to low at the current time. Is this too good to be true. All honest opinions are welcomed. Does this company

Alan Hager patented the numbered grading system and had the first grading company..."ASA". In my experience, the ASA cards that I had in my collection were deemed "altered", "trimmed" or "power erased" when I sent them to PSA or SGC.

was Alan Hager's shlock factory service. Not a good reputation at all. The few cards I've had with ASA grading have been dramatically overgraded. I'd not be surprised if this one is cut.

ASA/Accugrade has been around a while and purports to have the patent/trademark for the holder and grading scale other grading companies are using (including PSA).

Does that mean you should trust ASA? Go to their website and judge for yourself. I could not find any guarantee on the site, or what cards they refuse to slab, etc. (I did not look that hard, so that information might be there, somewhere).

I have two ASA graded cards in my entire collection, both low dollar 70s hockey purchased several years ago. I have (obviously) avoided ASA, and will continue to do so for vintage and other high dollar items.

Well, the seller looks quite strong: 10,000+ positives, 3 negatives, currently selling similar product. I have never owned a Ramly, so I won't comment on the card's potential legitimacy. However, if the seller will guarantee that the card will cross over to PSA, in any grade, it may be worth the shot. But to me, being in an ASA holder is far worse than being raw.

There is likely something seriously wrong with the card.

The seller would not guarantee psa cross-over
and could not guarantee card was not trimmed.
Seller said it's still a good deal regardless, pretty interesting answer. Again thanksto all who provided for the Vital info. I was willing to bid up to $3500 for the card until I realized there was not much bidding on a high quality that the seller writes in his product description. Nice to see there are honest collector's with the knowledge of the industry and other grading services. Props to all on this great board.
