Early November purchases but late December arrivals due to our postal strike up here. I was starting to get nervous that these cards weren't going to make it.

Gents,
I am thrilled to have picked up this 1948 Swell "Baseball Thrills" Jackie Robinson card. I know the hobby doesn't recognize its RC status as widely as the 1948/1949 Leaf and 1949 Bowman cards. However, the fact that it was unquestionably issued in 1948 and specifically highlights Jackie's debut gives it a special status at least in my own mind. My Ted Williams just returned from PSA. I was hoping for a higher grade since I'm most likely going to sell it to defray the costs of the 1948 Sport Thrills Jackie Robinson I just bought.

1971 Topps Set
Just got this in the mail today for my 1971 set. I immediately conducted an emergency “Beckettectomy” to remove the slab. I am pleased to announce that Mr. Banks is now resting comfortably in the confines of my 1971 binder.
