Default 3 hours away from a bunch of new HOFers

This is as good a time as any to show off your cards of Negro Leaguers. I'll start with an Acebo Lennie Pearson even tho he's not up for election. He was a hell of a player, tho, and a "close" friend of Effa Manley, one of the potential HOFers. And there's also my avatar, and Aguilitas Alejandro Oms.

Johnny Britton, who along with Jimmy Newberry was the first African American to be signed by a Japanese professional team. Black ball players had been touring Japan and Asia for decades, but Newberry and Britton were the first to play in the regular professional league.

P.S. Matt, how about that Pete Hill? I never get tired of seeing that, How about one last look before it becomes the rarest HOF card on the planet.

Sweet Pete!!

I always thoght "Pedro Hill" was another of the Cuban players because of that card...

but now I see that his REAL name is Pete and that they only put "Pedro" on the card because he played winter ball in Cuba.

Super card -- hope he makes the HOF -- but based on everything I have read...

he is the #1 choice.

One lock to be in the HOF in about half an hour is our very own Dan "Biz" McKee, although they misspelled his name on this 1924-25 Aguilitas card:
