Default Shill bidding

Posted By: Jimi

So what do you guys think: Ebay #: 120058053033

and the bidding page: http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=120058053033

My mind is absolutely shill bidding going on here. I realize this is not prewar, but I wanted to know if turning these guys in will even help. Has anyone been successful with removing someone who has been involved with shill bidding. Does Ebay actually DO anything?

Jimi

(Glad to be back in the action by the way! I haven't spoken to many of you in months!)

Default Shill bidding

Inexperienced bidder goofing off.

He only has 2 retractions in last 6 months and never won an auction by the seller. Most shill bidders screw up and top bid (and have to retract) or have much lower feedback than this guy. Also there were 2 people within $10 of winning bid so the auction lot went for nothing more than it would have go for if that guy who bid a ton of time never bid.

Yeah, I kinda dropped off the planet for awhile with moving to a new home, a different job situation, a new daughter on the way and tackling the current 2 year old has been exciting! Anyway, glad to be back.

As far the bidding. I think I agree with the rookie bidding going on there, but it always makes me nervous when I see 45 bids on an item, and 34 of them are from the same guy, plus a retraction. Aaaaah, well!
