Default Pennants

Picked up around 25 pennants today from a collector. There is a NY titan pennant that looks like it was cut in half. The stitching shows that it was made that way. Does anyone know if some were made that way. Also there are 10 different cowboy pennants from the late 60's early 70's. They are the same style but different variations. Almost look like prototypes. Any help would be appreciated. Tony

Default Pennants

I do not recall ever seeing a pennant newer than about the 1920's that had any looks like that. Titans pennants in general are very desirable and command good money as do rare Cowboys pennants. Generally speaking there is not too many rare and 70's don't go hand in hand, but there are a number of rare "bootleg" Super Bowl pennants out there that we made during the 70's that command good money too. Photos would help if you can post them.

Hi guys, im trying to get scans of the pennants. I think some of them are prototypes. There where no eagles, there were Jets NY Titans, Cardinals Giants patriots, cowboys. I will try and get a photo in the next couple of days to post.

Never heard of a pennant being made cut in half. As for your titans pennant, Ive seen a full one before...I think yours was butchered.

That white Giants pennant is pretty neat...I'd like that if I were a Giants fan

I thought so also but the stitching on the back shows that it was made that way.. the lady told me it was made for some type of promotion.

Those are solid pennants for the 70's, but nothing that will bring big bucks. The packers, jets, giants, are probably the best. I would say the packers and the one with the jet are probably in the range of $30-50 retail and the giants maybe $20-30. The other helmet ones are not difficult and generally sell for about $10-20. The only exception would be if a cowboy collector wanted some slightly different variation than what they already have. Hope that helps

Default Titans pennant

Almost forgot, I would agree the titans pennant is pretty much worthless. Too bad as the full version is worth a few hundred at least depending on condition

I think Jason is a little low on the prices for the Packers and Jets. I think they would sell at minimum 100.00 each. They are both very rare. Agreed the Titans one is toast. Mike

I agree with Mike... the Packers and rare Jets variation should each realize over $100.

Too bad on the Titans... of all the pennants to be altered, why did it have to be that one??

Thanks for all the input on the pennants. Being a Jet fan I too was upset about the Titans. But I am still confused about the stitching on the back. It really looks like it was done that way for a reason. Im not sure what Im going to do about the rest of them.
