Trivia Question - What do these 4 players have in common with the legendary Dodger infield of many years - Garvey 1B, Lopes 2B, Russell SS, and Cey 3B?

I'll guess that they were the 2nd longest infield grouping of the 70s for the Dodgers?

No. They were never regulars on the same infield together. |

OK, another try. Each man was the predecessor to the mainstay in that particular spot (Garvey took over for Buckner, Russell for Wills, etc)?

Buckner was at 1B before Garvey Lacy was at 2B before Lopes Wills was at SS before Russell Garvey was at 3B before Cey. According to www.baseball-reference.com |

I finally dug out the package that introduced me to a game that I am not sure was ever actually made and sold. Check out the blog entry I did on it today.

I think this would be my only real oddball piece from Garvey. This isn't mine (didn't feel like digging mine out) but I have one of these Nestle Kwik canisters from back in the day. Not only is this one not mine but mine also lacks the autograph.

If that was not yours on ebay a few months back, someone else has one as well. I couldn't touch the asking price of the one offered, but that is a cool item and a pretty nice front to have.

I did get it off ebay and sounds about the same timeframe I picked it. had my eye on it for a while, as it was a crazy original asking price. think he started at $500 or so and after a while finally made an offer and picked it up for $150 or so...to this date I hadn't seen another one other prior or post pick up.

Dug this one out. Have seen at least one other subject, Magic Johnson, on ebay. I assume this is from a So. Cal. newspaper, but unsure which one.

After viewing all of these cool Garvey items it "almost" makes me want to become a dual player collector instead of a single player collector!
