I had to share this ---I had just started reading Anne of Green Gables when word of the bridge collapse in Minneapolis came on the air. By the time I got to page 21 I read the following line ( this is when Anne is being driven home from the station):

" Oh,here we are at the bridge. I'm going to
shut my eyes tight. I'm always afraid going
over bridges. I can't help imagining that perhaps,
just as we get to the middle, they'll crumple up
like a jacknife and nip us."

Remember this was published in 1908.

Not only did I see the original movie, and supported it.
I was in the original movie with the USMC ... It was called Korea.
That Ike BTW, got us out of.

It was during the Nam War that I started to open my eyes to what the movie was all about.

Since then, it has been an uncreative rephrasing of "The Domino Theory".

To those that are unfamiliar with the Domino Theory fear tatic, simply stated, it means: Stop, and fight them in their Oil, or whatever country, so that we wont have to fight them in the streets of Crawford Texas.

All that comes with the above ... just to have a say so on who gets to dole out the OIL in the second largest deposit of Oil in the world. ..... Iraq.

Yes ... LET'S HAVE FOUR MORE YEARS OF THE SAME.

Stay well Bill,
Joe
