Hi--I just happened upon this sight and was wondering if anyone has seen one of these sell in the last few years or know if anyone even owns one. Thanks and great sight!--Douglas

I would LOVE to see another photo of the rare horizontal card...

I bought one from John Spalding when he was selling out of cards about four years ago for $300.00 in a little less than the grade the one Mike posted......seven years ago I bought one from a guy in Penn. named John who was a retired accountant for the Boy's Scouts of America..........he had tons of Matty cards and I wrote to him several times and we did some deals ( I bought a 14 matty for $1200.00 from him ) and then suddenly he died! He had another Matty 1914 and I do not know what happened to that one he bought it in a Rosen auction in 1992*** it looked much like the one above except a little less centered.

The one I purchased from John Spalding about 4 years ago. I also got a e-93 Cobb in no less than PSA 6 from him for $400.00

Spaulding has been selling off his card collection for as long as I've known him, and that goes back to 1984. He does have n incredible collection and is so well connected that I think he ahs a hard time turn good deals for cards
