I am building out my Ryan's, Schmidt's, and some other stars of the 60's-80's that I had to part with. I also dabble in 1970's and 80's hockey but that is for another forum. Thanks for listening!

Mailday of a lifetime for me. #1 card I've always wanted, low grade, but by far the most I've ever spent on a card

Raymond— 3 of the 8 cards in the Topps 1973 Reprint “set” (1953) incorrectly identify the named player. How could they get it so wrong ? And what was the origin and purpose of such an 8 card screwed up set ? Promotional gift at a Topps event ? Potential test set ( no known test wrappers or boxes) ? Anyone have any insight ?

Default March Pickups

I have a few lower grade Post commons in my collection that came from somewhere, but this purchase is my first real foray into food & beverage. Very happy with this card, and to me it looks a lot better than a 5:

That's what I meant. A 1963 card printed in the Confederate States of America, e.g., a fake card from a non-existent place.

I kind of thought that's what you meant, but you didn't spell it out so I wasn't sure. Plus, I figured some people wouldn't know what CSA stood for. Anyway, here are photos of one of the fakes.

I went on a Larry Doby mission earlier in the month. Picked up 3 nice 7's and an ungraded Bowman that I really like. Looks good in person and I will send it off for grading....eventually.

Bought an early 40th Birthday gift. The best my budget could afford but I think it looks pretty good for a PSA 1.

You know, you only need one #1 for the set right?

Nice lot though, love the 54 set.

Thanks to t206kid on eBay, I was able to add this to my collection, a card I've had my eye on for a while. And I'm always perfectly content with "beaters"!

Landed some great ones!

Now, I recognize that this card isn't a PSA or SGC 5, but I think the eye appeal is fantastic.

1952_Bowman_Mays_1

This one is criminally undervalued considering how important of a player he was and how nice the set is overall:

Congratulations on the Ryan RC! I dreamed of owning one as a kid, but it seemed just that at the time, nothing but a dream. One of the first vintage cards I bought when I got back into the hobby.

Just got a bunch of cards back from PSA and I'm counting these as new pickups since I haven't seen them in nine months.

I've listed a bunch from this group for sale but these I'm keeping

Vegas, that is an amazing 58T Aaron! If you ever get tired of it you let me know. John same to you with your 61P Clemente, that is a very undergraded 5.

I just got several nice cards from Howard, including this 55B Johnny Podres.

Thanks Dean,
I watched that Campy 8 sell for $3300+ at auction the other night, this one had better centering and cost 10% of that.

Won't find a better example of "buy the card, not the holder". Wise move.

Thank you! I got lucky and caught it as soon as it posted on eBay. It was a best offer and I sent one and then realized it might sell before I got a response so I bought it outright. It was a good price I thought. Stand up seller too.

Not sure I had ever seen a ‘61 MVP card with zero print damage before, so had to pull the trigger on this at the LCS yesterday:
