PM me if interested in pics and details.
I'm having a hard time thinking that feeding cards thru at a rate of 1 per second wouldn't end up with mangled cards. Am I missing something?

I have a Canon 5600F and have for years. Wonderful scanner. I use the MP Navigator EX Canoscan 5600F software that came with it.

I've always thought the same thing. I do have a document scanner Fujitsu IX500 ScanSnap that is incredible for scanning receipts and other paperwork into PDF's. I'll have to test it with some junk wax era cards and post results here. The scanner it's self does have resolution settings, so it can scan per second, but the scan quality is down. Better scans take a bit longer to feed but it's extremely reliable and hardly ever jams or pulls more than one sheet at a time. I chose this model since I see many hospitals using it to scan driver's license and insurance cards, along with lab slips and whatever else.

I am happy to report that a Canon 9000f can survive a fall!

I have an HP JetPro 8710 - very flexible, though lots of the abilities of this unit are 'above my brain's paygrade'.
