Default How Does SGC Onsite Grading Work???

Anyone have any experience with this? They are going to be at a show near me in a few weeks and I have a bunch of stuff that I've been too lazy to send in. Can you just drop it off with them and then pick up later that day or do they actually just pick up and take it back to their office for grading? What are your guys overall thoughts on it versus just sending cards in?

If you want it done day of I suggest getting there early. They do same day grading but depending on when you get there and what the back log is you may or may not be able to drop off and pick up during the show. Typical wait time is a few hours.

Default Sgc

Our oldest son and i have used SGC at the Shriner's show near Boston in the Fall the last couple of years.

We've had good luck, if you get there early, it's usually a couple hour wait time.

I use to work for SGC. At the national we had customers drop off and normally pick up 2-3hrs later if they werent too back logged. All card grading normally done on site in addition to autograph authentication too!

The ones I had done at the Shriners were quicker than that, but were also pretty much the easiest gradings possible, all but one being either "A" or SGC 10.

Nice Jackson sliding pose. Great centering not usually found on T202s.

to the question, it's been years since I did onsite grading with SGC and it's only been at the National when I did do it....and those few times I usually picked up the cards the last day after dropping them off earlier (from what I remember).

Last year at the National PSA had people lining up early and always had a long line. SGC had a couple of people sitting down and filling out forms. Not really a wait at all. I dropped off and came back in the afternoon. Was pleased with the service and always like how cards look in the SGC holders. Grading seemed to be in line with what I would have gotten in the mail. No better or worse. Great service when you can swing it.
