Anybody who needs Kevin Mitchell, he's $20.00 at a show next month. I'll be sending this week.

Those all look good. Are you going to do the George Brett signing with Atommic Sports? His fee would be $110.00.

Thanks Ralph!!

Topps206,

Yikes !! $110.........that's too rich for my blood. Especially since I have to convert it from Canadian.....works out to about $145 CDN for me. Thanks for the info though, I follow many of the links you post for autograph appearances now.

Cheers,

Andy

I saw that Charlie Moore was doing a signing as part of a 1982 Brewers Reunion at $5 a pop

If you could post a link or PM me the details I would very much appreciate it. I have a couple Moore cards I could stand to have signed at that price. Thanks.

Just curious on how you guys are handling the team leaders cards? Multiple signatures on the same card or individual cards for everyone pictured? Thanks

Hi Ralph,

For me, as long as I have one signature from atleast one of the players shown on the card, I am happy.

It's been awhile since a success for me as I was waiting for the new Harvey list to come in the mail. I have made up for it and sent out over 150 TTM requests in 2 weeks...here is the first batch of returns today.

I knew saving my 87 Topps would pay off!

Encased in my baseball card folder in my brief TTM collecting days of the mid-late 80s. Did I mention that, briefly, Mel Hall was my favorite Cub?

Lots of good ones there.

I don't think I would want a signed Mel Hall. While he is part of the set, what he did after he retired horrified me. If I ever owned a signed 87 Topps of him, I'd feel very guilty.

Cliff Johnson arrived today. I also received back my mail order from Jim Gantner that I sent to Waukesha Sports.

Also, even though he isn't in the set, I decided to mail to Waukesha Sports for Pete Vuckovich, given his signing habits. I decided to get a 1985 Topps done. That also arrived today.

This was always one of my favorite sets. I had actually completed but started breaking it up a few months back. Most of the biggies are gone but I still have about 500 signed if anyone wants to hit me up

Just a heads up on pricing, Nolan Ryan is up to $60 for a card now. Thinking of starting a 1990 leaf set. Never done an auto set before. Next to 89 upper deck, this was the real WOW set from my teenage years. That and OPC premiere. Thought about that, but the leaf may look better with those all white borders

I think Ken Dayley is the only signed 1990 Leaf I have.

With my impulses, I've worked on different things. I'm up to 352 in the 1987 set. I have more than 100 signed in the 1965 set. I have close to 80 in the 1962 set, more than 30 in the 1960 set, pushing 90 in the 1972 set and my original big project being the Pacific Legends cards circa 1988 and 1989, though that has slowed down over the years since I started that set back in 2006. Plus I'm doing the 1991 Leaf set.

Plus I'm starting to have an affinity for the 1983 set, with a share of returns from that year, too.

Everything is so tempting to me. To collect so many different sets and players. The Pacific Legends and 1987 Topps sets are the only ones I've taken very seriously, but I'm doing what I can for the other ones.

Default Mattingly/Reed

Wow,

I cannot believe I got Don Mattingly back in the mail today. This card was sent to the Miami marlins or spring training early last year and it came back today!!!

It's kind of funny because I just resent him cards this year again, but I can tell when I sent this card because of the stamps I used on my SASE.

He is my favorite player of all time (not vintage) and I am superpumped to get him. Now I just need the other two of him signed !!! Allstar and Team Leader.

Oh ya, and I got Jeff reed as well, took under two weeks to ship, sign, and get back to Canada.

Things have been very slow lately, enough to make the thread fall off the first page.

I received this back this week from tough through the mail signer. No donation and first attempt.

It has been slow, yes. I'm working on more vintage stuff recently while still trying to knock out what I can when I can.

Someone mentioned that Tony Bernazard is tough. I'm having a hard time getting him for my 1983 Topps White Sox team set. Any idea why? Just doesn't TTM?

Quite a few players are tough. You can also look on eBay. If I see him doing a signing, then I'll tell you.

No TTM and was a pretty reluctant signer during his career.

Thanks! In general, I don't see too many signings by guys like these, so I'm guessing eBay is my best bet. Thanks again.

The TTM drought is over.

Al Newman returned my card signed today after previously sending a request that went unanswered.

I'm also excited that Devon White is signing his mail right now.

For what it's worth, I have completed the set. Also have complete 1985, 1986 Topps sets, 1986 Donruss, and 1987 Fleer all complete and autographed. Used to hit hotels, spring training, airports, BBWAA dinners and the whole shot back in the 80s though the first set was completed only 4 years ago.

Feel free to check out my site CooperstownExpert.com too for more autographs and memorabilia.

Cool thread by the way!

That's awesome. A 1987 Fleer set would be cool too. I find it hard to get some autographs being up here in Canada, either through Ebay (Global shipping, exchange rate, intl sellers) or through sending to private signings and the usual high rates they charge. I have about 550+ of the 1987 Topps and fear it will be onsie twosies from here for a long time !

It took me 30 years of one at a time to complete. For years it felt like none would ever be complete. You'll get there, Andy. It's a fun journey.

Default Just curious

How many of the cards from 1987 topps feature people who are now deceased? Are there any exceptionally difficult cards to find autographed? I'm not an autograph collector but am thoroughly impressed with these types of projects.
