I am happy to finally see some discussion on the Star basketball card sets. I have a complete run of all three years and most or all of the subsets still in their sealed bags. I also have some additional cards graded by SCD (many years ago) and have been debating whether or not to open bags and send some of the key cards to Beckett. Any thoughts on a preference of bagged or Beckett graded from the crowd here? Thanks in advance

I would go with the Beckett graded option. I think there are too many collectors who will pass on these cards entirely if not graded.

If you are certain the bags are legit, I would keep them bagged. That is, unless the key cards(on the top) look very high grade. I would only crack a jordan 101 out, for example, if I thought it would bring a 8 or higher(maybe even an 8.5 or higher).

Damn.. That looks like a high grade 8! Love the black borders on those holders as they really make the bold star colors pop!
