In the same vain as the Ray Chapman thread, lets not forget the first player to die of an injury that occurred while playing (ie. the exploding internal organ). Anyways, I'm not sure if there are alot of images of Creighton out there but I recently picked the Leslie's Illustrated woodcut..

Anyone have any other images?

Andy, is that the rumored Peck & Snyder Creighton? Was it issued before his death?

That is the Peck & Snyder Creighton. I don't own it, but finally met the owner of the card at this year's national. It was issued sometime after his death as a tribute.

I was looking through the Leslie's Illustrated that the woodcut came from and there was a decription of the photo. It stated that Creighton died playing cricket. So now he has died batting, pitching and playing cricket. Jeez!
