Hall Of Fame question
I was going to ask this in the Johnny Damon thread but decide to start a new thread instead. If an Admin thinks this should go in the other thread, please feel free to move it over there.
With newspapers becoming less and less profitable and more either merging or going out of business and the content going online, what happens to the BBWA (or however the initials go for the writers who vote on and elect the players to the HOF)? If there are few or no newspapers, the content is online and there are a reduced number of baseball writers, what does that do for the voting? Personally, if the number of writers decreases to a point where there is no HOF voting, I would be happy with a group of baseball historians and experts going in and starting the HOF over and weeding out players who aren't really deserving and making a TRUE Hall of FAME.
