Sosa Auto Ball

Bought this a an estate auction. After the auction an elderly lady came over and mentioned it was the pride of her husbands collection. She pointed out the 64/129 and said it was sosa's 64th hr ball. Not sure I believe her but didn't they put marks on those balls when mcguire and sosa were hitting them. The ball is very poorly shrink wrapped. Is there any way to check her story Thanks Dave
