Default Unusual Willie Mays Cards...let's see em'!

Widely recognized as the best, oldest baseball player alive...his cards have gone parabolic last few years.

Let's see some more unusual Say Hey cards.

I've got this not often seen 54' Howard Photo Willie.

1967 Topps "Who Am I ?" is an interesting set. The original Topps release (44 cards) had scratch-off disguises on the front of the cards. Topps later re-issued a partial set of 36 cards without scratch-off disguises. Three of the four baseball players in the original release were not included in the re-issued set (Mantle Koufax and Mays) Babe Ruth can be found with and without a scratch-off front.

Default Say Hey

Here`s a Mays card that doesn`t pop up too often, 75-76 Jerry Jonas greatest in history example. Would really like to get the Koufax piece from this seldom seen set.

I am actively buying and selling vintage sports cards graded and raw. Feedback as a buyer: https://www.net54baseball.com/showthread.php?t=297262

I am accepting select private consignments of quality vintage cards (raw or graded) and collecting "want" lists for higher end ($1K+) vintage cards.

I was drawn into that set as a kid because of the similarity to 1975 Topps and also because it had Koufax.

I was lucky enough to secure a set (One cut set and 1 uncut sheet) and the corresponding marketing information directly from a former MLB marketing director who received the set when they were issued.

I also ended up tracking down Jonas and had a short conversation over the phone with him about the set and some other cards he was involved with.

1950s Willie Mays Exhibit production piece or proof. Different card stock, different size and cut than regular issue.

1952, 1954, and 1955 Red Man and it's unusual that a 1953 wasn't issued?

I like how the 66 Topps Mays looks in blue. Would it be bad to take a low grade 66 and make one?

I get how you can make a blue Mays the same way you can make a blue Aaron but do you suppose whoever did the Mays decided to also alter the back

Never done a 1966 back but I know a guy that has experimented with different backs.

I'd say it could be feasible. It does kind of look sun faded to me.
