Not in yet but I picked up 11 PSA 6s in Heritage, a PSA 6 on eBay last night and one PSA 5 on eBay the other night. All commons, all were new to the set except for last night which was an upgrade from a 4.5.

Sweet Bender! I've always wanted to do just an SGC 55 collection. They are always "nice for the grade"...regardless of issue. David G. is definitely one of the good guys in this hobby!

Default August pick-ups

I got this last month (or was it June?), but finally got around to scanning it!

1926 Kut-Outs Yankees - Earle Combs (the rare, severed neck version):

Also grabbed this nice-lookin' 1939 Kansas City Team Photo Premium w/ Rizzuto:

Finally picked up my first two Satchel Paige items.

The newspaper photo isn't in the best shape but love that it's from the 1948 leaf card and the pre photoshop editing.

Default Usually try and bust these out of the plastic before posting here

but can't find a hammer at work to facilitate that process.

Number 292 comes from Pete Gustafson who has found quite a few over the years. Thanks, Pete.

Default National pick-up, sort of

Ironically, I'm not at the National, but bought this from a dealer friend kind enough to send me pics of his cases. Kind of a virtual National experience.

I bought this today. I looked at a higher rated one and just liked this one better. Could not find a high rated one that was affordable. Honestly, the prices have literally tripled for the higher rated 1934s since last year's national. I don't know how r why, but they have. Anyway, I like this one and it goes with my other 1934 yellow one.

Oh, and I admit I suck with the scans etc. not my specialty. But I did buy a cad at the preview night.

As an aside, I heard a lot of gasps and talk about how crazy prices have gotten. I heard some Koufax talk, some Clemente talk and some Mantle talk. Lots of bewildered people there. Not sure what to make of it.

I just picked this up, I have not seen a Jordan with this dark sky on it before. It is dark ink printed on the card, not just dirt on the card. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this before, it is very different from the normal Jordan.

Nice one Ed, I was watching that. I have been picking up some of the same type of "dark sky" cards when I see one that catches my eye:

Hi Ed,

This isn't as dark as yours but I had (traded it to a friend) this Rokenfeld
with a darker sky that also has an odd pink triangle in the upper right corner.

Found this Lone Jack Tobacco Tin in an Antique Shop in South Jersey.

My guess is it's vintage is circa 1888.

I wish I had some Lone Jack BB cards to display with it......but, I do have several colorful Non-Sports cards to show.

1933 Uncle Jack's Ferrell. Far from fresh, but the price was right.

I was looking to add a Lindstrom to my HOF collection and ended up acquiring two. And then I can't resist an inexpensive Butterfinger premium when I see one come up on a eBay auction.

Steve, what's up with you? You don't seem to pick up "ordinary" vintage cards, just really, really tough ones!
Congrats!!
