I was going to say $1.00 --- and save the price tag, just write it right on the card.
I hope this card being fake didn't cost you anything. |

I am personally trying to improve my ability in spotting fake pre-war cards, which I am not very skilled at right now.
I am not a CJ guy, but from reading this forum, it is my basic understanding that fake CJs can often be spotted by the white in the uniform not being the same as the border (since the card stock itself is used for the white color in the originals). This card, however, seems to my (again, admittedly unskilled) eye, to pass this most basic of tests on the right border (though the overall dirtiness may obviously cloud this). At the risk of embarrassing myself (probably not the first time), I was wondering if those of you who are more skilled at this, would explain (just very briefly) what tips this card off as an obvious fake? Is it the bad coloring / overall dirtiness/greyness? Not questioning your expertise or anything, rather I am just trying to learn from it!
