All the Cubs
I collect the all-time greatest, as defined by me, Chicago Cubs! I've been at it for years but there are still some holes. If it's bold that means I either need the card still or I'm looking for an upgrade.
Feel free to post your favorite Cubs cards on here, your recent pick-ups, or whatever Cubbie awesomeness you're got laying around. Check out my collection website allthecubs.com The Top 100-ish: 1 Ernie Banks 1954 Topps 2 Cap Anson 1888 Goodwin Champions N162 3 Ron Santo 1961 Topps 4 Ryne Sandberg 1983 Topps 5 Gabby Hartnett 1922 American Caramel E120 6 Billy Williams 1961 Topps 7 Fergie Jenkins 1966 Topps 8 Stan Hack 1934-36 Batter-Up 9 Sammy Sosa 1990 Leaf 10 Frank Chance 1909-11 T206 11 Mordecai Brown 1909-11 T206 12 Mark Grace 1988 Score Rookie/Traded 13 Rick Reuschel 1973 Topps 14 Joe Tinker 1909-11 T206 15 Charlie Root 1933 Goudey 16 Johnny Evers 1909-11 T206 17 Billy Herman 1933 Goudey 18 Phil Cavarretta 1934-36 Batter-Up 19 Anthony Rizzo 2011 Topps Update 20 Wild Bill Hutchinson 1887-90 Old Judge N172 21 Hippo Vaughn 1911 T205 22 Greg Maddux 1987 Donruss 23 Carlos Zambrano 2000 Topps Traded 24 Pete Alexander 1914 Cracker Jack 25 Jimmy Ryan 1887-90 Old Judge N172 26 Clark Griffith 1887-90 Old Judge N172 27 Bill Nicholson 1949 Bowman 28 Bob Rush 1950 Bowman 29 Kris Bryant 2015 Topps 30 Ned Williamson 1887-90 Old Judge N172 31 Wildfire Schulte 1909-11 T206 32 Claude Passeau 1939-46 Salutation Exhibits 33 John Clarkson 1887-90 Old Judge N172 34 Johnny Kling 1909-11 T206 35 Lon Warneke 1933 Goudey 36 Kerry Wood 1997 Bowman 37 Bill Dahlen 1909-11 T206 38 Bill Lee 1934-36 Batter-Up 39 Bruce Sutter 1977 Topps 40 Larry Corcoran 1887-90 Old Judge N172 41 Hack Wilson 1933 Goudey 42 Kiki Cuyler 1933 Goudey 43 Heinie Zimmerman 1909-11 T206 44 Lee Smith 1982 Topps 45 Aramis Ramirez 1997 Bowman 46 Ed Reulbach 1909-11 T206 47 Kyle Hendricks 2014 Topps Heritage 48 Woody English 1933 Goudey 49 King Kelly 1887-90 Old Judge N172 50 Andy Pafko 1949 Leaf 51 George Gore 1887-90 Old Judge N172 52 Bill Hands 1966 Topps 53 Johnny Schmitz 1949 Leaf 54 Derrek Lee 1994 Bowman 55 Javier Baez 2015 Topps 56 Tom Burns 1887-90 Old Judge N172 57 Jake Arrieta 2010 Topps Update 58 Rick Sutcliffe 1980 Topps 59 Jody Davis 1982 Topps 60 Orval Overall 1909-11 T206 61 Riggs Stephenson 1933 Goudey 62 Jimmy Sheckard 1909-11 T206 63 Jack Taylor 1903-04 Breisch-Williams E107 64 Fred Pfeffer 1887-90 Old Judge N172 65 Guy Bush 1933 Goudey 66 Solly Hofman 1909-11 T206 67 Willson Contreras 2016 Topps Update 68 Dick Ellsworth 1960 Topps 69 Charlie Hollocher 1922 American Caramel E120 70 Harry Steinfeldt 1909-11 T206 71 Andre Dawson 1977 Topps 72 Larry French 1934 Goudey 73 Ryan Dempster 1996 Bowman 74 Pat Malone 1933 Goudey 75 Jon Lester 2006 Topps Update 76 Ken Holtzman 1967 Topps 77 Bill Lange 1899-00 M101-1 Sporting News Supplements 78 Hank Sauer 1948 Bowman 79 Randy Hundley 1966 Topps 80 Jimmy Slagle 1909-11 T206 81 Glenn Beckert 1965 Topps 82 Don Kessinger 1966 Topps 83 Augie Galan 1934-36 Batter-Up 84 Billy Jurges 1933 Goudey 85 Rogers Hornsby 1922 American Caramel E120 86 Bob O'Farrell 1922 American Caramel E120 87 Bill Bonham 1972 Topps 88 Abner Dalrymple 1887-90 Old Judge N172 89 Leon Durham 1981 Topps 90 Paul Minner 1952 Topps 91 Geovany Soto 2005 Upper Deck Update 92 Charlie Grimm 1922 American Caramel E120 93 Mark Prior 2001 SP Authentic 94 Alfonso Soriano 1999 Topps Traded 95 Carlos Marmol 2006 Upper Deck 96 Carl Lundgren 1909-11 T206 97 Vic Saier 1912 T207 98 Jack Pfiester 1909-11 T206 99 Fred Goldsmith 1882 team card 100 Warren Hacker 1951 Bowman 101 Rick Wilkins 1991 anything 102 Sheriff Blake 1930 Blue Ribbon Malt Premiums 103 Jason Heyward 2010 Topps 104 Frank Demaree 1933 Goudey 105 Silver Flint 1887-90 Old Judge N172 106 Jon Lieber 1993 Stadium Club Murphy 107 Starlin Castro 2010 Topps Update 108 Hank Wyse 1951 Bowman 109 Larry Jackson 1956 Topps 110 Claude Hendrix 1914 Cracker Jack 111 Shawon Dunston 1985 Topps 112 Pedro Strop 2010/2011 anything 113 Kyle Schwarber 2016 Topps 114 Peanuts Lowrey 1949 Leaf 115 Eddie Waitkus 1949 Bowman 116 Steve Trachsel 1993 Bowman 117 Clyde McCullough 1949 Bowman 118 Addison Russell 2015 Topps 119 Bill Buckner 1970 Topps Last edited by Shankweather; 04-14-2023 at 08:55 AM. |

Not a Cub long enough, unfortunately. Neither was Ernie Broglio.

I make exceptions whenever I feel like it, and I definitely felt like it with Hubbs. I have his RC and the memoriam card from 64.
I didn't feel the same for Pie and Tuffy. |

As a Mets fan I long for a team with a bit more history. Hard not to love the Cubbies.

Day late in posting this but March 27 1902 was the first mention of "Cubs" in print.

Awesome collection, concept and website. Thanks for sharing. I’ve been considering options to create a site for my collection. Would you recommend Wordpress?

Wordpress is convenient and powerful. Just make sure to stay on top of any patching for WP or any plugins you may use. Lots of vulnerabilities.

My love affair with the Cubs was short when I was a kid in Chicago. The 1969 Cubs were my team. I have managed to assemble a complete collection of autographed photos (or just autographs) of every player who played for the team that year.

Very impressive! I am a bit older and have accumulated a lot of Cubs autographs; on cards, photos and baseballs. My team was from the 50's and Hank Sauer was my favorite all time Cub. Picture not too great but I didn't want to take it off the wall.

As a Cubs auto collector it would have been nice if Andre Rodgers signed more cards...Fukudome, too.
It took me quite a while to hunt down an Adolfo Phillips that wasn't insanely expensive. Randy Myers was a bit annoying to hunt down, too. |

Got a couple huge Cubs cards in the Brockelman auction. Kiki Cuyler's rookie card (I guess? Depends on what you think of Exhibits as rookie cards) plus Santo's rare 1967 Stand-Up. I feel like I way overpaid for Kiki but got a deal on the Santo. First time I've seen either for sale.
