new member, looking for appraisal/opinions on T206/T205
just lucked into a TON of T206 and T205 cards. they were one of my fathers best friends great grandfathers.
they are/were all pasted into a book. removing them is quite easy, the only problem is some of them have pretty bad damage/paper loss on the backs. this is not from me removing them, but when the owner of the book first started, he pasted them into the book and at some point decided to rip them all out and re paste them organizing them by team. I will post scans here when I get around to scanning everything which will be quite a while. for now, I have 2 scans, fronts and backs, of hall of famers but with some paper loss on the back. I am new to these cards so I do not really know what their value would be considering the paper loss. the fronts on most of them are pretty good, as you can see, if that counts for anything. any opinions would be greatly appreciated! the fronts - http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/...s6dfc2516.jpeg the backs - http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/...s8f12ec02.jpeg |

Thanks for the input!
I have a very large number of common or non HOF T206 with similar back paper loss to the ones above. I assume they are for the most part common and nothing out of the ordinary. What can I expect something like those to fetch? |

No problem, I'm referring to the T206 specifically, the T205's I'm not too sure about since I don't collect them, but the T205 HOF'ers are probably worth less.

With the extent of the paper loss, $15 is likely the high end for any commons.

The qutoes were generous for the amount of loss. I would guess more like $5-10 each for commons and for the commons HOFers maybe $25-50 each. THe Young, Matty, Johnsons, T205 Joss may go $100-200 maybe. IMHO. I cannot see them much more. Nice fronts will help get those prices I quoted. If they were creased up expect less. I have not sold many T206s in the last 2-3 years but sold thousands in the past from P-EXMT.

It all depends on how you sell them. I have a feeling you could get the most out of selling them as a lot in a good quality auction.
