I just got a card in today's mail, my first N-300. It's in an SGC slab, and it looks great--no creases, no paper loss, bright image. I have to admit, though, I have this really strong urge to bust it out just so I can actually hold it.

Any suggestions for popping open a slab so that you can put it back together? (Though it's an "AUT" slab, so I wouldn't be giving up much by leaving it out.)

Bill

Hey Bill,

No suggestions, but I, too, hope to be as thrilled when I can finally land my first N300. I've been wanting one for quite some time and will probably end up with an "A" myself. Good luck to you.

Shawn

Bill- it's not hard to free the card from the slab, but like Humpty Dumpty, you can't put it back together again.

If it's an AUT, bust it out. You can always have it re-slabbed if you cross back over to the dark side.

put a knife blade into each corner seam and twist. Once you've done this go up the sides doing the same.
SGC's holders are really easy to pop out, I've done a few with my fingernail.
No downside of popping an A holder. Best of luck and congrats on the card.
