Default T206 DRUM's....Part III....350/460 cards

Posted By: Ted Zanidakis

There are 39 cards (of 62) from the 350/460 Series that have been confirmed with DRUM backs. Just like the 350-only
Series cards with the "A-B-C-D factor", there is a discernible pattern that can be applied to predicting a possible DRUM
back on a 350/460 Subject.

To date, the 39 confirmed DRUM's from 350/460 Series......

Baker
Bender (no trees)
Berger
Burch (fielding)
Chance (yellow portrait)
Chase (dark cap)
Cobb (red portrait)
Cobb (bat off)
Crawford (bat)
Doolan (bat)
Doyle (bat)
Elberfeld (Washington-fldg)
Evers (bat-yellow sky)
Griffith (bat)
Jennings (2 hands)
Johnson (pitching)
Jordan (bat)
Kleinow (Boston)
Konetchy (glove low)
Lake (St Louis/no ball)
Leifield (bat)
Magee (bat)
Manning (pitching)
Mathewson (dark cap)
McQuillan (bat)
Murphy (bat)
Overall (yellow sky)
Pelty (vertical)
Pfeister (throwing)
Reulbach (no glove)
Seymour (throwing)
Steinfeldt (bat)
Street (fielding)
Sweeney (New York)
Wagner (bat/right)
Wilhelm (bat)
Willetts
Willis (bat)
Wiltse (pitching)

After studying several large T206 surveys, I feel confident that the following six T206 subjects will eventually appear
with a DRUM back......

Chase (blue portrait)
Conroy (bat)
Downey (bat)
Mullin (bat)
Rucker (throwing)
Stahl (glove)

And, the following 17 subjects from this Series are DRUM "No Prints"......?

Ames (hands over head)
Bradley (bat)
Brown (Chicago)
Davis (A's)
Donlin (bat)
Dougherty (arm in air)
Jennings (one hand)
Joss (pitching)
Lajoie (bat)
Leach (cap)
McIntyre (Bro & Chi)
O'Leary (hands on knees)
Snodgrass (fielding)
Tinker (bat off)
Doc White (pitching)
Willis (throwing)
CYoung (glove)

OK, Net54er's....I welcome you to prove me right or wrong on these predictions ?

I look forward to it.

An Addie Joss (pitching) has been reported; however, not certain. Can anyone else confirm this card with a DRUM back ?

Thanks,

PS I seem to recall a Joss, but at this early hour I'm probably thinking of broad leaf 460 instead....

Ted, I care and I don't own a single t206 card (yet). I'm waiting for you, Brian, and Scott Reader to figure out all the back checklists so i can go for the super-master set. And for what its worth, I vote the t213-1 belong in t206.

I find these theories and eventual confirmations to be very interesting.

And for what it's worth, not only do I feel the T213-1's belong with the T206, but the T206 should be split into T206-1, T206-2, T206-3, etc. with the different back brands being different sets. That would crank up the Set Registry folks!

Ted, ole friend, you know that i care but I don't have a Drum myself and
have had to do my looking for data via auctions. Sorry that i'm not much help. Thank goodness ole Tarheel Weisner has a backs collection that makes us
206 addicts salivate.

Keep up the great research.

best,

You do not need a DRUM to participate here....just an intellectual curiousity regarding these silly little T-cards.
And that, without any doubt, you have plenty of my friend.

Besides, the next DRUM I acquire, I will offer you a deal for it that you cannot refuse.

deal which cannot be refused comes my way!!!!!!
This is one Godfatherian motif that I'm lovin'!!!
keep up the great work,TRex, and i'll get whatever professorial intellect that i may have left on the ball.

best,

barry

Ted,
I think Brian is right when he says more people care than you think. I am still new to pre-war, but am trying to learn the nuances of this set and players as quickly as I can. Once I am able to do that, maybe I can provide some useful information instead of just being a curious bystander.

Hey, guys and gals......

I'm still looking for these 7 cards with DRUM backs. These top 6 cards are definite prospects,
based on a recurring pattern of known T-brand backs associated with DRUM's in the 350/460
series cards.

Top 6 DRUM prospects from the 350/460 series.......

................................JOSS is not one of the "pattern" prospects, however a Net54 reader
emailed me that thinks he has seen this card with a DRUM back (but, he is not certain). Can
anyone of you confirm Joss with a DRUM back ?
