Default You're All Right - Matty Dark, Cobb Red/Orange, Johnson Port

Posted By: Brian

Long time lurker, infrequent poster.

Find it pretty amusing that three of the cards mentioned as being the most owned are 3 of the 4 T206 HOFs I have. Can't beat these three cards - unless that is you have enough money to afford Honus.

BTW, anyone else out there have an "orange" Cobb? What sort of premium if any do these bring?

Brian

Brian,
Welcome to the board. I used to own an Orange Cobb and sold it last year at the National. You really need to find the right buyer for a card like that; they are out there. I had a bit of tough time personally. When I did finally find a buyer, it drew about a 70% premium on what an ordinary red one would go for in the same condition. I think they are great cards and am surprised more people are not interested. This card has been discussed in the past here and I think four or five board members have orange Cobbs

Welcome aboard....years ago I had 2 Orange background Cobb's. A real nice one (Ex) and the one shown here.
Like Jim, I sold the nice one. For the right customer you can expect at least 50% more than the Red Cobb (for
equal condition cards).

This one is about as orange as you'll find one....and, it has the look of a "snow scene".

Ted,
Is there an extra premium for the snow scene?

Brian,

Welcome aboard. It looks like you've pretty much called it, it's going to be very close between all three cards.

For the record my dad and I collect T206s and we consider the orange cobb to be part of that set (but I think we're alone in that philosophy). We have an orange one in a psa 5.
