Could this possibly be true? And why the private auction?

Anyone who has followed Superior Sports Auctions and looked at their archived auctions (which are no longer available on their site as far as I know) will recognize this image as stolen from them. The crooks have long used this site to harvest images. By the way, this is one of my favorite cards. Anyone have a clean, untoned PSA 6 or 7 available? PS. RIP Kirby.

Though I see no other items offered by the seller,
compare to a recent real example from a real seller:

http://tinyurl.com/rgnpd

In the current listing, see the magenta excess in Joe's sleeves and in the blush on his face, while the amber of bat looks true?
. . .somebody's not doing good color matching
(I'm not certain if the yellow border is also too light--it's darker on my '38 #250 [same image as #274, but without the captioning], though as the card stock's darker on what I have (as it also is on the real #274) it would darken a lighter ink like the yellow)

and note that
Checking feedback: The seller has been registered on ebay for many years and has sold NOTHING before.
The card is at a tiny fraction of true value (go get those fish! .. and thus the private auction :p
