Anyone know what company issued this postcard? I couldn't find anything on the Old Cardboard website.

I believe that's a Worch Cigar. They came with many different type faces, some with natural backgrounds, some with blank backgrounds. So it's tough to know for sure. But I believe I've seen the Hartnett before and it looks like yours.

Were the Worch Cigar cards postcards?

Worch Cigars are roughly postcard size, but I've never seen a Worch with lettering that stands out that much - all the ones I have seen have a player's name in script or in black print inside a small white box - that lettering seems too large to me.

I have never seen the Harnett, so it's possible that Paul is right.

I too believe it's a Worch card. I do believe there were some that had postcard backs but am not positive. I've handled several Worch's and this does look like one although the paper looks a little darker than normal..I've never had one with a postcard back..regards

...at my former place of business was Gabby's grand niece. (I also once ran into Kid Elberfeld's granddaughter in a copy center.)

Paul was correct that the postcard is a Harnett Worch Cigar - David Bryan (davidbvintage) just listed one on EBay tonight.

Thanks fellas. That pretty much seals the deal. Interesting that the one on ebay is a blank back and mine is a postcard back.
