Back in the 60's my mom picked up some cards that she always said were tobacco and bread cards. I was never able to find any info for her. She's now passed away and in going through the estate I came across the cards again. There is also now (finally!) more info online. I've been able to figure out that at least some of these are strip cards, but I need help with that and with pricing, and I can't find anything online(our library's too tiny).

here are 3 basic descriptions of what I have:

they all have blank backs.

1 card has a sort of illustration/photo with a green background. there is a copyright in the bottom left frame of the picture by I.F.S. below the picture is the name, position and city. To the right of that is the number.

18 cards have various color backgrouns. They appear to have been cut along dashed lines. across the top of each (uncut) strip might have been printed somthing like "little wonder picture series". Just above the picture frame on many is a ver tiny copyright by u.& u. Below the frams is a number then the players name in caps, then in a slightly smaller font of caps and smalls is their position, their team, and what league.

14 cards at first appeared to be like the above ones but then I noticed differences. these have various colored backgrounds. There are no copyrights. some appear to have been once part of a strip with dotted lines for cutting but these were NOT cut by kids. They are too perfect. most of them have very even and parallel borders with nicely rounded corners that do not seem to be from wear, they seem to have been very carefully produced this way. There is a number within the picture frame in the bottom right corner. Below the frame is the name in a different font than the above cut cards in caps and slightly bold, then in caps but not bold is the position, then the team and the league.

Can anyone tell me what to call these, where to look them up, and where to get rid of them for the best value? (I've been reading interesting stuff about auctions here)

Sounds like you have some 1920's strip cards. The SCD's Standard Catalog of Baseball cards should help you find exactly what you have. Look at the listings for W5xx. The Little Wonder cards are 1923 W515-1, assuming the seller from the following link is correct:
