Actually for some reason I believe his last name was Louis, and 'St.' is an abbreviation for Steve. So yes, his name is likely Steve Louis.

Possibly this guy? His jersey seems to be at least very similar to 1888-1890 St. Louis Browns, and Billy Hart played for the Browns in 1890.

I'm mystified about some of the responses here... if you're going to clutter up a thread with irrelevant stuff, at least make an effort to come up with something that's actually humorous....

If in fact this is a Major League St. Louis uniform/player, the first place to start looking would be a player that lived in the Clinton, MA area. That would be the only reason that he would have had his photo taken in a Clinton studio. I attempted to search for such, but unfortunately the few that matched the criteria did not have images on wikipedia or baseball reference....
