the only player I ever got to see take the field, or rather the plate, in 2006.

He was such a wealth of information. I thoroughly enjoyed every interview I've gotten around to watching with him. He was really one of the last connections to the Negro Leagues. His Stories of Gibson, Paige, etc are fantastic.
