Default Walter F. Roper signatures

Welcome to another 'letters of obscurity' thread!

As a Smith & Wesson collector, I was happy to pick up these two letters the other day. Both are 'signed' by Walter F. Roper, but one really isn't, as it is obvious they are by two different hands. I send out to S&W every now and then for a 'factory letter' as documentation for antiques revolvers. The earlier of these two is such a letter - the earliest I have seen. I picked up the other one because I have a .22/32, so this will be an interesting accompanying item.

Hopefully you all are okay - not seeing much posting lately.

Turns out the newer letter regarding the .22/32 has the authentic signature. That's good, as I own a .22/32.
