Default SGC Laben question

The seller says he had this card graded in Feb. of this year. I thought these labels are from many years ago?

That's my understanding on the labels w/o the 1-10 designation under the regular SGC numeric. It's been years since they did this label.

The label, I believe, was from the 1998-1999 time period.

That label/flip is over 10 years old.

Cheers,

SGC Started operations in (I believe) April of 1998. That slab is is the 1st Official SGC Slab and was discontinued in January of 1999. I think I have the correct history of SGC Slabs as follows :

(1) SG on the front Pre 1999
(2) SGC on the front minus 1-10 grade 1999 thru 2004
(3) SGC on the front plus 1-10 grade plus gold label on the back 2005 thru 2008
(4) SGC on the front plus 1-10 grade plus SGC pressed into the back 2009 thru Current

That label is really old. It is my understanding that they were looser with the grading over a decade ago as well. I would not expect this to be an even cross. Bid on it like it was an '8', maybe lower.....

Like everyone else, old label. I've got a 87/88 Fleer Drexler with that label graded in 1999

0 feedback and he is lying about when it was graded. I would stay away.

The seller actually has 500+ feedback as a seller... But I agree they are being less than truthful about when it was graded.

The "0" is actually part of the seller's User Name
