Default Grade this T206 please; Here is the actual grade

If some of you guys have a little time to kill while waiting for Adrian's next post, could you please take a look at this card and tell me what grade you think it should get? I will post its actual grade tomorrow. Thanks.

Without the deep crease I'd say a 3 outside a 3.5, with that deep crease I say 2.0

definitely nice eye appeal for a low grade card, but i'd guess technically a 1.5 - that crease on the left makes it look like the card has separated most of the way thru

(send it in another day and you may get a different grade, but thats beside the point)

Default 2

Creases (I see one on the right side as well) and corners keep it from being a 3. Should be a 2 all day long...

It's going to depend on the grader, but I'd give it a 2.5. If the crease wasn't as strong, you'd get a 3.

I'm going to guess 1.48740913201530, but I guess you can round it up to a 1.5 if you want to be like that

Brent's right, PSA should be able to do better than measely half-point increments. I'm in the 1.5 camp.

Probably a 2. Not sure how it could be any higher with that deep crease. Could be as low as 1.5.

1.5 -- looks like heavy chipping on the left border, and perhaps even glue residue above the heavy crease. That level of chipping and glue could make it lower, but I think the eye appeal keeps it in 1.5 territory. Certainly no higher than a 2.0.

I also don't like the top border, but that's another story. I'm guessing you didn't get an AUT holdered.

I'm sorry, but I didn't scan the back. There is no paper loss, it just has the usual staining that one expects to find on a Polar Bear.

Bases on PSA's grading standards write up, which I had never read until now, it should be 1.5.

Sean,

Wrong, that grade is seen only on "Pie" Traynor cards.

Then again your next card may be a Traynor.

I bought this one raw and only sent it for grading years later. I expected a 1 or at best a 2. I can't believe this grade, and it seems like all of you agree. Mind you, I'm not complaining.
But this is why we say "buy the card, not the holder."

Not trying to piss on anyone's cornflakes but ... c'mon!!! Someone at PSA needs to give their head a shake.

I'm really starting to get annoyed at this whole 3rd party grading nonsense. I think TPG companies should just drop their grading service and just stick to card authentication.

That's it for my Friday rant.
