Default Jackson, SOLD

Posted By: Steve F

FS/FT/,

These are three pages, vintage scissor-cut from three different 1913 issues of the Amsterdam Recorder (NY). Some fan took great care with these over the generations. They appear to have been stored flat and uncreased since printing!

I've never seen these clever one-of-a-kind caricatures, or any other players. I'd assume there were many other ballplayers in this 'set' as the issue dates of these three are at irregular intervals and there are 'SOLUTIONS TO YESTERDAY'S PUZZLE' (as seen in the close-up pic below).

I am sadly parting with these due to lack of storage capability. Also, I couldn't convince myself to cut these out for matting, even though this would be the practical way to display them. The articles and ads are entertaining as well.

Each image (approx 5x7") depicts a ball player and a riddle., Solving the riddle will reveal the hidden picture within that player's image. (I figured out Joe Jax, but not the other two.)

Condition; Overall VG, with mild to moderate edge chipping and typical foxing for newsprint of this era.

Aug. 28 1913, Joe Jackson

Sept. 2 1913, Eddie Plank

Sept. 8 1913, Frank Chance

Please allow for actual Priority shipping.

Pardon, but I've only this one photographed. I know these aren't worth much but they're special nonetheless. Thankyou, Steve fdnyladder7@comcast.net
