Great photos, Benny. And I remember when you picked up that rookie auto GPC - you got a steal on it, if I'm not mistaken. Well done, friend-o.

The only thing I have, or have done, is this 16" x 20" of the man from '42:

Considering the kind of person Musial was, in addition to being a great ballplayer, this is quite the loss for the country. I remember while watching Ken Burns' documentary, Bob Costas had this to say about Stan:

"He appears to be that ballplayer out of a Norman Rockwell painting, that has those virtues that we like to believe the game can summon up."

Couldn't have said it better.

Scored scorecard from "Stan's Last Game", he was 2 for 3, replaced by a pinch runner in the 6th inning after singling.

I got the pleasure of meeting Mr. Musial in the mid 90's. What a great person. RIP Stan the Man.

Default Actions Speak Louder than Words

Many years after making it to the majors, Stan Musial still hadn't forgotten the minor league manager who jump started his career.
Dickie Kerr winner of two games in the 1919 World Series.
