Thoughts On T206 Diamond Cuts

This may have been discussed in the past, but it appears that most diamond cuts occur on the top and/or bottom horizontal borders of T206's. This would allude to a cutting practice of first slicing full sheets into vertical columns (usually strips of the same card if I'm not mistaken), then chopping these columns into individual cards. The cut that separates the cards into vertical strips would have to be more precise. A slightly skewed angle over the length of the sheet would surely cut into the image of some cards. Cutting the columns into individual cards required less meticulousness, as the cut length was much shorter, and probably done at a faster rate. By this point paper scrap could begin to build up against the cutting device, pushing the columns out of squareness - all aiding in what we now call, The Diamond Cut.

Just an observation, feel free to correct or add to it. And let's see those diamond cuts while were at it...
