Default Honus on Ebay again...I'm bidding this time!

Hope I'm not breaking any rules linking this (in case someone on the board is bidding - if so, feel free to delete the thread Leon).

I was perusing the vintage, autographed baseball stuff and ran across this little gem - a Honus Wagner autographed bat.

Looks legit to me...then again, I'm not a Honus Wagner autograph expert

Default I'd think twice about that.

A LOA from Stat Authentic is worthless in my opinion.

Oh goodness...I just went on their website and noticed that they were affiliated with Coaches Corner. Is this the same company that lots of people are not very happy with due to "questionable" autographs?

Default I believe it is.

Hopefully you are not the winning bidder at this time.

Noppers, not me. All I know is that if a signed check can go for $1,400.00 (http://www.robertedwardauctions.com/.../2005/427.html) then I can only imagine what this thing is going to end at.

Default Another S.T.A.T. bat

I bet S.T.A.T would authenticate this Honus Wagner Bat for their next Coaches Corner Auction. What pure trash...

You have got to be kidding. Your going to bid on that with a Stat certificate? Good luck trying to resell it.

Putting everything related to the LOA aside, what specific attributes of this autographed bat do board members believe proves it to be a fake?
