Default MAB Celebrity Services

Has anyone heard that MAB has closed up shop? Their domain is available -

http://mab-celebrity.com

Their Facebook page has not been updated in well over a year.

https://www.facebook.com/MABCelebrity/

I enjoyed their theme shows and made the 8 hour round trip to NJ on many occasions. The theme shows really helped in growing my collection.

Why good riddance? They always put on a great show on HOF weekend. Was able to get many signatures that I needed. Also did good mail-in orders.

Mike,

Lots to read about them in various FB groups and SCN. I'm sure other places as well. It speaks for itself.

That's too bad. They were once very good and reliable.

I found MAB useful in helping me with several themed autograph projects that I pursued through the years.

For my no-hit collection, one great show that they hosted called "Pitcher Perfect" in 2006 allowed me to add perhaps 25 no-hit pitcher autographs to my no-hit ticket collection.

I would go so far as calling this the nexus for my themed collecting pursuit.

Of the 247 different no-hit games that I have tickets to dating back to 1901, 171 of them are actually signed by the pitcher that tossed the no-no.

Look in the ticket collector thread in the Memorabilia section.

I used MAB once, for what was a rare paid signing I participated in. As much as I love collecting autographs, most are just purchased outright.

Richie Allen did a signing and I debated between a 71T and a 65T. I went with the 65 and am glad I did.

I don't recall any issues. I recall at the time it was more than I was hoping to spend, but again, no regrets when all was said and done.
