Unfortunately, PSA does not grade silks - nor does SGC. The only graders who grade S74 silks are GAI and Beckett.

I advise to stay away from Beckett - I returned a Cobb BVG 5 to dealer - not even close to true 5 grade.

GAI appears true to grading standards on the S74's.

It would be nice for PSA to grade them. I have a feeling that values would then climb high. We can send a man to the moon in 1969, but PSA won't grade S74's because they said, "to fragile."

is PSA worried about the silks being damaged by them during the grading process? If so, I am not sure why. The silks with the backing should be no more fragile than any other cards. They would definitely look nice in holders and it would be interesting to see how many of them grade. Would definitely enhance their collectibility I would imagine.

While we are on the subject..perhaps some of you can post pics of some nice silks? Personally I prefer the ones that came with the backing. I have a nice one I picked up years ago.

Brian, here are 2 examples, Cobb colored silk and Cobb white with backing. This will give you an idea on what they will look like graded. I'm not that satisfied, but it is what it is.
