Default I found a shoehorn!!

A new pickup, a shoehorn!!....and more of these 1939 Father & Sons Shoes cards than almost anyone has ever seen at once. Before I was able to acquire 2 very small groups I had seen about 2 of these cards for sale in 15 yrs.

Excellent find Leon! Is there a checklist of known F&S cards? All Phillys? F&S was a national chain ( I think) I know we had a lot of their stores in the Detroit area but don't remember cards? Dave.

Leon, we have a Pickup thread every month for this sort of thing. Use your one remaining thread wisely.

Anytime someone can show 12 cards from an ultra scarce set, I am game for it being a separate thread. My wife asked if I am going to use the shoehorn? I probably will, why not?

Dave- the checklist in the big Krause book is at 17 but there might be more it says. I believe these were only distributed in the Philly area.

You just make up these rules as you go.... That's it - I'm out.

OK, now I'm back. Seriously, that is a cool small item to link to a set of cards. I would use it too. They don't make them like that anymore.

Sick of wearing out the heals of my cheap-ass Walmart socks, every time I put on my clodhopper work boots! Do they even make shoehorns anymore? Cool cards, Leon.

What is a fair price for a shoehorn?

$5.99. I doubt you could buy a new one for that.

Great item "relating" to that card set! Someone might have bent their free card trying to hold it while using that thing...

I saw this thread title and actually thought it was mocking some of the other posts lately.

I'm shocked no one has asked yet...

Will you be getting the shoehorn graded?

Nevermind,

Last edited by 4815162342; 04-25-2013 at 03:22 PM. Reason: I just realized the cards and the shoehorn were not found together.

Can you play the shoehorn in two-part harmony?

Or while eating a bowl of hominy?

And why, Leon, are you searching for shoehorns on ebay? Spare time on your hands? Do you need hobby?

Leon will now be replacing the quarter w/ a shoehorn on all subsequent card postings.

It's awful and I stumbled across it looking for sideshow pictures and rppc's. The first thing that came to mind was your quarter. Sorry man.

Cool collection, Leon. And nice ancillary item. I always like to add little pieces which give the cards some context.
