Default Understanding 1952 Topps Back Colors

Another snowy morning here in PA - Lots to do after the snow stops but for now trying to understand the 1952 Topps Back color history i.e red versus grey I think ???
Is there any checklist of what backs each card was made with ??
Is there a definitive article or checklist. I'm searching net54 and other sources but hoping to find the definitive source.
thanks
Dan

Yes, there is:
https://www.psacard.com/pop/baseball...52/topps/49722

Also, since 1952 is after the second world war ended, you should post threads from 1946-1979 in the "Post War" section.

#1-80 can either be found in red ink or black ink on the back. The red ink are the ones in the PSA set registry with no mention of a color for those cards.
#131-190 can be found with cream stock (normal) or gray stock.
Those are the only variations.

Oh, what a difference a year makes.

First series cards 1-80 are available with black or red ink, all printed on gray stock.

Third series cards 131-190 are available only with red ink but can be found on either white or gray card stock, the gray being much scarcer.

All other cards were printed only with red ink on gray stock.

Edit: Oops, looks like John already has this info covered in his reply.
