Default Possible E300 Plow Candy Misidentification

Posted By: Patrick McMenemy

Unless my "eagle eye" is mistaken, I would be willing to bet that the E300 Plow Candy card in the Mastronet auction is actually Brooklyn catcher, Bill Bergen not Berger. The card is lot #1010.

In other words, this E300 has a spelling error. Correct spelling should have had an "BergeN" not "BergeR." Unfortunately, the powers that be should have seen that the card clearly shows a catcher not a pitcher.

......or maybe they got the name right and the picture wrong? they wanted Berger but got the wrong image.

The Berger/Bergen mistake is somewhere else too, isn't it?

I checked an old SCD price guide, and I noticed that both a Cy Barger and a Cy Berger (Barger) are listed. As logic would have it, the Barger E300 most likely is Barger, whereas, the spelling error should be Bergen as the image represents.
