Very rare and there are more than usual "Certified" autographs that likely are not genuine.

I would be careful with their LOAs or any LOA because with this type of rarity and the number of forgeries around mistakes have been made and will be . You have to really educate yourself in many phases of this type of autograph , buying this type is somewhat risky for any collector .

.
.
For such a rare autograph, If it were up to me, I would post an image and let the knowledgeable members weigh in on its likely authenticity with their opinion. The opinions are likely to differ, but that is ok. And may confirm an opinion I prefer not to hear, but rather hear it now than be blindsided later. Just my opinion.

I have been seeing a much larger quantity of Burketts at auction the last couple of years. I know Hauls of Shame called out one of them within the year.

A very tough autograph which must yield plenty of forgeries

Extremely, extremely rare and very, very highly forged. In Ron K.'s book, he claims that no AUTHENTIC HOF plaques exist.

His autograph is very rare, but they do come around every so often. I see them at least once or twice a year. If you are talking about a single signed baseball you may want to do your due diligence. But things such as a GPC or album page that are properly certified are usually fine. I don't recall ever seeing a certified example that I thought was bad. At least not in recent history. That being said of course a mistake can be made. REA just had a beauty that sold a few weeks ago - https://bid.robertedwardauctions.com...e?itemid=66208. I was an underbidder and am sorry that I missed it.
