I paid $550.00 for a Ray Knight Orioles helmet in 2006, it was similar except with an earflap I sold it a year later and got double what I paid.Wish I would have held on to it. From my personal experiences with game used helmets, the cartoon bird style from the 70's-80's always seem to go for big bucks, the price on this one is nuts though.

I got a couple from ebay but didn't pay nearly that much for either or both together for that matter. Not really sure what happened here.
