Default No longer for sale: 1902 Type 1 Christy Mathewson Photo
Best of the best here folks. Photo matched George Grantham Bain photo to April 1, 1902, this was a spring game after Matty's rookie year. Bain News Service stamp is on the back as well. This is taken at the Polo Grounds and Matty has his Bucknell sweater on. Sorry for the poor quality photo, it is CRYSTAL CLEAR!! High resolution scans upon request. Not sure if an earlier or finer example exists. A copy of the newspaper article dated April 2, 1902 will accompany this. Culver Archives stamped on the verso as well.
