Default Diamond Stars Premium?

I did a quick search of threads and didn't see anything so I'll just ask. On the Diamond Stars wrapper it makes reads "The retail store where you bought this gum will give you one of these 7 MOST FAMOUS PICTURES in BASEBALL ABSOLUTELY FREE for only 15 DIAMOND STAR WRAPPERS" The photos were for Bill Terry, the Boston Red Sox, Pie Traynor, the World Champions 1934, American League Pennant Winner 1934, Dizzy Dean and Mickey Cochrane. What are these called and can anyone post any examples? Also, why is Dizzy Dean a premium but not part of the actual Diamond Star set? Thanks for any information! Matt

They appear to be R311s. There's quite a variety of premiums that were issued by National Chicle in the mid-1930s, presumably in tandem with either its Diamond Stars or Batter Up sets. If you type R311 into eBay, you can see that they aren't too tough to find ...

Default Thanks...

I'll look to pick some R311s up to compliment my Diamond Star project!

Default Diamond Star wrappers

Here is a link to all known Diamond Star wrappers:
http://www.oldcardboard.com/r/r-wrappers.asp

There is the possibility that the remaining R311s are listed on other wrappers not shown in this gallery. If anyone has a different variation of any of these wrappers, please let me know.
Thanks.
