Default E94 8-card Color Run

-
Was able to finish my E94 Turner color run including the Orange and the M131.

Thanks to Pete C. and Steve S. for the last two cards needed.

Feel free to post any runs you're working on.

Nice Phil, and and even a M131! A side question for you...is orange the toughest E94 color?

Yes, orange is the toughest, and most would consider a run complete without it, as there is typically 1 or maybe 2 orange for each player. Fantastic to have it to truly complete the run!

Thank you all for the kind words, I'm humbled.

I've always felt a true E-card collection should look like a handful of Skittles.

Any advice on a player/set where something similar to this is fairly attainable and not crazy expensive or does that not exist?

e98 would likely be your "easiest" option...or e97...although no runs are easy.

After all that multi-colored stretching, I wonder if Turner ended up catching the ball.

You could also look at a 5 color E100 run, would take some time though.

Thanks for the info Scott. I have what I call a 'golden mustard' Murray. The color appears to be somewhere between the gold and the orange backgrounds. Have any other E94 cards been seen with similar coloration? Or is this a result of my open jar of golden mustard being left outside of the refrigerator for too long?

Too hard to choose James, each card/color background has their own beauty and energy.

This is such a difficult run to achieve -- and then the Baltimore Newsboy at the end made it twice as hard.

Phil asked for other color runs (E94 not mentioned) in his original post, so here are my stripped down W9316 runs of Jimmy Johnston, and a Dave Bancroft W512 trio that likewise 'Beautifies' this thread.

On an unrelated note, I must single out the eyebrow artistry in full display on all of these cards, and the droopy nature of both the beginning of his first name and the end of his last name on the third Bancroft example.

Default Doolan

My E94 Doolan run, I added a Newsboy and the E97 color and B+W versions also. I've accumulated a few dupes along the way.

Tbob is on a different E94 level and most of us would be humbled by his run, I'd love to see him post his opinion on the origins of Orange E94's.
