Default Dad Clarke N172 Old Judge Question

Posted By: Dan Bretta

The price guides that I have are a little unclear about this card, so I'm wondering if there is an Omaha card with the correct spelling or is this the only Dad Clarke card for Omaha.

Dan--If I understand your question then no, all Omaha cards have his name spelled incorrectly (according to the latest listing). On some of his 1888 Chicago cards his name is spelled correctly.

John, is that one yours? I did see a few other poses on the net with "Clark", but that's the only one I've seen with the correct spelling.

John--Great work. That name presentation on the strike pose is not listed. We will add it in.

77-6b is supposed to have a W.H. before Clarke (Omaha's). Wow, looks like a new addition to the never ending list.

Dan,

Through all the excitement of a new variation your question wasn't completely answered. There are 9 known poses of Clarke. Seven of the poses depict him with an Omaha team designation.
