Moe Berg Market - The Catcher was a Spy
The market seems pretty high on the 1933 Goudey Moe Berg right now. Is that because of the movie? Do you foresee it coming back down, or is this the lowest price point they will be at for a while?

As is often said, any press is good press. If a movie is coming out about Berg, that is definitely going to drive sales.

It looks like the movie may be released next year. I have been away from collecting for a little over a year, but the market for Berg items certainly appears to have gained momentum. I'm glad I got my items a few years ago.

I have been surprised at the fact that Berg cards have always commanded a healthy premium over what his status as a ball-layer deserves. Apparently a lot more people are familiar with his story than I would've guessed.
