I've been collecting these since the 1970s, and I've never come across any that seemed suspect. The cards do seem to have a slight gloss to them, at least compared to a Topps card from the same era. The cardboard used for the backs of the 1960 cards if definitely courser than that on the backs of the 1961s and 1962s. The 61s and 62s also seem to be a little more common.

As for collecting the '62 set, it's filled with some the most beautiful and colorful images I've seen on any cards, and it's pretty easy and affordable to complete. I'd say the same for the '61 set.
